Work from home opportunity?

Why is it every ad that you run across for work from home jobs. want 30-50 dollars to do something for them?? If i had the 50 bucks, i would't be looking to make some extra money. Any Home jobs out there worth anything? Not looking to get rich, just do some work for some extra money, each month, Thanks, Harold
