Why do people always think my daughter is Jewish?

I'm German and her father was Lebanese. She's in high school and she says people always ask her if she's Jewish and say she "looks" it. She's petite, she has long thick curly brown hair, a natural all around tan, and green eyes. Why would people ask her this so much? Do you think its a complement or an insult when someone says "you look Jewish"?
